Subliminal Dream
Subliminal Dream captures that suspended moment between day and night — a Pacific Northwest marsh in near-darkness, a thin ribbon of golden light at the horizon, and above it all, a sky of billowing clouds awash in pink and lavender. The contrast is quiet but arresting. You feel it before you understand it, which is exactly what the title promises.
Salisbury comes by this honestly. He grew up in Hawaii surrounded by the oil paintings of his grandfather, plein air master William Twigg-Smith (1883–1950), whose work filled family homes across generations. Art was not something young Graham encountered — it was something he lived inside. Subliminal Dream carries that lineage forward.
