The Gearhart Sea hands nearly the whole canvas to the sky. A tall bank of clouds glows pink and white above a thin line of sea, and below it dark stands of coastal brush anchor the land against all that soft, drifting color.
The palette is hushed ... pinks and lavenders and pale blues, the light of an overcast afternoon on the Oregon coast. It feels like the moment before the weather decides what to do. Quiet, spacious, and a little tender. The kind of sky you'd want to keep watching.
